Autonomy through education and employability

Classes in literacy, workshops to discover and learn a trade are on offer, thanks to a network of craftsmen working in partnership with us.

The children, when they return home, will have to support both themselves and their next of kin.  Bearing this in mind, we do everything we can to make them completely autonomous by giving them literacy classes.  We also provide them with the rules of communal living; show them how to keep healthy and to be tolerant.

Village Pilote has built up a network of volunteer local craftsmen who offer work experience placements for the young men to discover and learn a trade.  This provides them with the opportunity to learn about many different fields: tailor, baker, blacksmith, electrician, market gardener…
