The partnerships with government Ministries and other institutions are paramount to the success of our projects.

The Regional Council of Dakar

• Helps with the professional training of our young farmers and construction workers by providing recognised diplomas.

• Finances projects in the context of decentralised cooperation with the Ile de France Regional Council.

• The implementation of awareness programmes about the problem of  Street Children (providing material and technical support)

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (Dakar Hospitals: Madeleine Clinic, Pikine District Hospital, Dakar’s Main Hospital, Dominique de Pikine District Hospital)

• Admit emergency cases and also carry out medical examinations

The Ministry of Justice (Department of Prison Administration – DESPS)

• In conjunction with the prison authorities, Village Pilote has programmes in the young offenders prison at Hann (B Block), the women’s prisons (Liberty VI and Rufisque) and at the Penal Camp (trips out, awareness, mediating with the families, creative art activities,…).

• We have also worked together on a rehabilitation project at the community centre in Thiaroye (schooling for young people who are already conflict with the law are likely to become, professional training for minors, a cultural and sporting centre, help for families in difficulty, sheltering  young girls at risk).

• Collaboration with the AEMO (Community Education Initiative) for children returning home.
