Make a bequest or a donation
|
Our team do everything in their power to get children off the streets and to reintegrate them into society. In order to carry out these initiatives long term, we need your bequests, financial gifts and life insurance policies. We receive these gifts with immense gratitude as they enable us to contintue our work and offer huge encouragement to our teams to carryon our fight to stem the problem of Street Children. A registered charity in France since 1994, Village Pilote receives bequests, donations and life insurance premiums in full exemption from French inheritance tax.
The Donation
A donation gives you the opportunity during your lifetime to immediately and irrevocably transfer the ownership of part of your assets (a sum of money, a securities portfolio, a house or an apartment etc) to Village Pilote, provided that the operation does not affect the rights of your heirs. You must make a deed before a lawyer.
A Bequest
A bequest is the free transfer of one or more properties of the deceased in accordance with a will made during their lifetime, but which does not take effect until after his or her death.
A will gives you the opportunity to bequeath one or more specific gifts: an amount of money, a bank account, a securities portfolio, an apartment or a house.
It is possible to bequeath to an association as long as it is State approved or if it has a charitable status. Village Pilote comes into this category.
The Will and Testament Without heirs and without a will, the State becomes the sole beneficiary of your estate. By making a will, you can leave all or part of your estate to Village Pilote. You will therefore be certain that your last wishes are respected. Should you change your mind, you are at liberty to change your will at any time. A will allows you to freely organise the transfer of your assets.
Life Insurance A life insurance policy is a quick and simple way to transfer a part of your estate. It is a contact whereby the policy holder (that is to say you) pays premiums to a bank or insurance company. At the demise of the policy holder, the savings made can be transmitted to an identified beneficiary.
In the event of your death you can designate Village Pilote as a beneficiary in whole or in part of your life insurance policy. You can also amend the beneficiaries of an existing contract.
It is important to specify the full details of beneficiaries of life insurance policies so that the insurance company is able to contact them in the event of the holder’s demise.
The contact details of our head office are:
